But, Why?

There is such beauty that comes from the rarity of old photographs, like the fact that one or two snapshots might be all we have left of someone who lived a lifetime of stories - F.E.A

Photo Scanning, Photo Organization/Downsizing and Custom Photo Books

We take these items off of your to do list by scanning your photographs, organizing your bulky photo albums into smaller, easier to transport cases or creating one of a kind customized photo memory books that you can share with your family and friends and pass on for generations to come.

Hard copy photographs can be easy to damage or loose. Safeguarding them from risks can give you piece of mind knowing that you have a backup in case of fires or floods.

Photo Albums take up a lot of space and you can't always bring all the photos with you if you move away or downsize. Scanning, creating photo books or organizing them into storage cases to reduce bulk are all helpful in alleviating this issue.

When the entire family can have access to a collection of photos, everyone can enjoy and pass on the memories! It’s no longer restricted to solely those with the hard copies.

High Quality digital photos can be corrected for color and clarity, or even colorized to bring them back to life! At the present moment, I do not offer colorizing or photo editing services, but if you have high quality scans, this can be done at a later date.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Doesn’t it cost a lot to scan photos, let alone make photo books?

The overall cost will depend on many factors, and it certainly isn’t a cookie-cutter formula. However, what is common to everyone is that the benefit of protecting these memories outweighs any cost because once you lose a photograph, you can't have it back. We can work together to figure out a plan that works best for you, but you can get an idea of pricing by visiting the "Services" tab.

2) Do I have to scan every photo I own?

No. You may decide to only scan the important photographs that you couldn't live without. You decide what matters and leave the rest to me! Once the photos are in my hands, I will do my best to keep them safe for the duration of the time they are in my possession.

3) What is the turn around?

It depends on the project but is usually about 3-4 weeks from start to finish (you receive the book). If this is for a gift with a deadline, for instance, we can always discuss the work involved based on the photos used and what is needed to make them look their best!

4) How do you store my precious photographs?

Because I share your concern for safekeeping these valuables, I can assure you that your photos will be kept away from food, water, and any other risks, like pets or children - at all times. They are stored in a fireproof safe when they are not in use and are returned to you as soon as possible.

5) What about privacy?

I deeply value privacy and personal memories, so I will not share your photos with anyone including friends and family.  I would love to showcase the work I am doing on my social media platforms, but I will always get your permission before sharing anything and only do so with your full consent.

If you are requesting a photo memory book please note that the printer will have access to digital copies of your photographs and images, so I ask that you only provide me with photos and information that you feel comfortable with as I do not print the books myself.
